Whats your learning style?

Learning the information to pass the 17th edition exam can sometimes be a difficult experience. Especially if you have not had to learn anything since school.

One of the ways you can improve how the learning sinks in is by trying out different methods of learning. For example some people may prefer to read lots of  information whereas others may prefer to see the information set out in diagrams.

The key to increase the effectiveness of your learning is to work out what is the best way for your brain to absorb the information.

Here is a generic plan to try with your revision:

  1. Read the course notes through once. Do not be too concerned about understanding the information in the 17th edition just read through it first.
  2. Re-read the course whilst making notes. Try and make your notes as varied as possible. Try using bullet points, or mind maps or even making things rhyme.
  3. Read your note out loud. There have been studies which show the brain can remember sounds quite easily.
  4. If you want to take it a step further you can always record yourself reading out your notes. That way you could play the file on a mp3 player or even burn it to a cd to play in the car!

Hopefully that will give you a basis to build your revision plan from. Then you can pass the 17th edition exam with ease!

Break it into sections

One sure fire way to increase your likely hood of results in the 17th edition exam is to prepare your revision properly. Break the revision into small sections that you could work through in half an hour.

By trying to complete 2 or 3 sections every day will allow the 17th edition to sink in and will by keeping it to half an hour, you wont get too bored reading!
